I live less than one block away from this beautiful Serbian Orthodox Church. On the weekends I love hearing the church bells ring to announce the morning and mid-day services; it seems so happy and inviting even though I am not a church-goer myself. I know one thing for sure – the Serbs sure know how to have a good time. There is ALWAYS some sort of celebration going on there. Wonder if I can convert just for the parties…
I love our neighborhood. I especially enjoy walking down the streets lined with chic French-style houses with ornate wrought iron fences (my favorite) and fancy doors.
I especially love the houses with the breezeways which I dreamily imagine leads to a courtyard filled with flowering trees and such… Can’t say for sure, though, because I’ve never been inside, but yeah. Let’s just say there is a beautiful courtyard back there.
Best of all, we live within walking distance to one of the most beautiful urban parks (and the oldest public park in St. Louis!): Lafayette Park. I often walk with my boys to the park to enjoy the gardens (me) and the playground (them).
As you can tell he REALLY enjoys the playground. 🙂
